Country-pop and actor song writer Jana Kramer rose to fame through television, where she was part of the cast on One Tree Hill as Alex for its final three seasons. The show featured her in a number of episodes as a new country singer, which helped her album to reach the Billboard 200 Top 20. The follow-up Thirty One in 2015 Thirty One reached the Top Ten. The last decade saw she appeared as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars as well in TV movies and a number of television shows. There were also a few singles that were not albums. She would later pursue a recording career but she began her professional life as an actor who made her screen debut on the screen in the 2002 independent horror film Dead/Undead as she was in her teen years. Over the years, she appeared on several series, including All My Children and CSI: NY before landing the part of Noelle Davenport in NBC's Friday Night Lights' Second season (2007-2008). Kramer appeared in 90210 between 2008 and 2009 as Portia as well as Brooke Manning before joining One Tree Hill on the CW in 2009. In 2009, she played Alex Dupre. Her appearance on the show until 2012, when the series was cancelled. Jana Kramer Kramer was a character on One Tree Hill from 2009 until the year 2012. Alongside her Top Five country hit I Got the Boy as well as an duet with Steven Tyler of Aerosmith it did even better, reaching the top spot of 3 on the national albums chart and number ten in the Billboard 200. In September, she spent two months in the 23rd season of Dancing with the Stars, that ended in fourth position. That same year, the song It's like Christmas featuring Straight No Chaser became an enormous adult contemporary success.
